Responsibility
Implausible deals with ideas that carry weight. Questions about human prediction, intelligence, individual performance and personal data don't exist in a vacuum.
Principles
They are written down so they can be checked, and so you can tell us when we fall short of them.
We pre-register hypotheses before we run experiments. We report null results alongside positive ones. We distinguish clearly between what the data shows and what we believe it means. If our findings challenge our assumptions, we publish them anyway.
We do not overstate. Nothing on this site is investment advice, a medical claim or a settled scientific fact. Where an effect is small, contested or unreplicated, we say so in the same sentence in which we report it.
We collect what we need and nothing more. Session data is linked to your account for the purpose of building your personal prediction model. It is not sold, shared, or used for advertising. You can export or delete your data at any time. We are building a research platform, not a surveillance system.
Participation in Implausible is voluntary. Sessions can be stopped at any point. We are not running therapeutic interventions. Participants are not patients. We do not promise clinical outcomes, and we take care not to imply them.
